NEW FRANKLIN -- Information developed during the on-going investigation into the double homicide of Jeffrey Schobert and Margaret Schobert of New Franklin, has led to charges being brought against Shawn Eric Ford Jr., 18, of Akron, in the brutal attack of their daughter, Chelsea Schobert.
Chelsea Schobert was attacked by her boyfriend, Shawn Ford Jr., on the night of March 23, inside a house in the 1400 block of Andrus Street in Akron.

Schobert suffered a skull fracture and several stab wounds.
Shawn Ford Jr. was charged with felonious assault.
Previously, investigators arrested Jamayne Ruiz, 24, of Akron, after he was implicated and identified by witnesses.
Ruiz has been released from the Summit County Jail and the charges against him have been dismissed.
