AMHERST -- Police have released a video still of a robber who threatened a store clerk with an industrial box cutter during a Friday robbery.

Police were called to Cooper Foster Park Road's Pure Gas Station for a robbery.

Police were told a man entered the store about 10:30 p.m. and brandished an industrial box cutter and instructed the clerk to hand over the money in the cash register.

The man then left the store with about $300 and a couple of packs of cigarettes.

He wore a black jacket with a hood, black glasses and a black scarf over his face.

He is described as white, in his late 20's, and approximately 5'06" to 5'08" tall.

The store employee said the man tried to enter the store approximately 5 minutes earlier, but was unable to enter because the door was locked.

A customer then came into the store and, while the employee was serving her, the man was able to enter the store.
