AKRON -- Police say that about 3 p.m. Saturday, a woman, 20, of Akron, was shot in the left shoulder following what appeared to be a road rage incident.
The victim was a passenger in a vehicle traveling on Kenmore Boulevard when the driver of the vehicle apparently crossed paths with the suspects in another vehicle.
Both vehicles pulled into a parking lot on West Waterloo Road near Cory Avenue where the occupants of both vehicles got into a verbal argument, police said.
The suspect then fired several shots into the victim's vehicle and one shot struck the victim in the left shoulder. The suspect(s) drove off before police arrived.
The victim was taken to Akron General Medical Center where her injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
Police say the suspect is a male with braided hair, last seen in a silver, 4-door car.
