GENEVA -- The community is on the lookout and using every resource to find a missing service dog.

Amy Rowen says two of her dogs ran off early Monday morning in Geneva, near Clay and Barnum roads, but only one dog returned home.

"Usually they will chase a deer here and there, but she has never just taken off like this," said Rowen.

Marne, the 19-month-old golden Lab, is spayed and micro-chipped. Rowen now has a $10,000.00 reward for her safe return.

The reason? She had just started training to become a service dog.

"I had started the public access work with her, which involves taking her into public places, like elevators, to get them acclimated and comfortable," Rowen added.

Marne's owner has exhausted every effort to find her, even using a plane to get a bird's eye view.

"We got pretty low and we got a really good look at things but we just couldn't see her."

She even posed a doggie "Amber Alert" for Marne on Lost My Doggie. It is a resource for animal owners to post pictures of their lost pet and to check if a pet was found.

"I can't stop looking for my baby until I have her. One way or another, I have to bring her home."

If you found Marne or would like to join in on the search, you are asked to contact Amy Rowen at 440.596.8609.
