CLEVELAND -- Cleveland City Council has approved revisions to the 2014 ward maps.
The vote took place in a special meeting held this morning.
Fourteen members of council voted to approve the revised ward map. Four members voted no. Those voting against were council members Joe Cimperman, Kevin Conwell, Jeff Johnson, and Mike Polensek
The approved ward boundaries will take effect in 2014. Due to population loss, the city has to reduce the number of wards from 19 to 17.
All council positions are up for election this fall.
