Ford's Clothier in Rocky River is an institution of fine menswear.

For 100 years, generations of fathers, son and grandsons have bought suits, shirts, ties and jackets at Ford's, giving it a legacy of longevity.

The business was founded by William Ford in 1913 and has had three generations of Ford men running it.

Geoff Ford took over from his dad, George.

"You've got to really work at taking care of those people," says Geoff.

When Geoff retired, he handed the reins over to longtime employee Paul Gorton.

"I started here as a 16-year-old kid in high school at Rocky River high back in 1971," says Paul.

Paul credits the store's customer loyalty with how it's lasted so long.

"There's still people who like to support the small, local merchant," he says.

Geoff Ford still works part-time at the store, and Paul says he'd like to get 50 years at the store. So, 100 years in business seems to be just the beginning.
