CLEVELAND -- Police will hold a news conference on Tuesday to release more details about the recovery of three women who had been missing for years.
Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and a third woman named Michele Knight, all of whom have been missing for years were rescued Monday evening after breaking free from the house and running to a neighbor to call for help.
According to Cleveland Police, the women were being kept in a house in the 2200 block of Seymour Avenue near West 25th Street.
The women identified themselves as Amanda Berry, now 27, and Gina DeJesus, now 23, and Berry was holding a baby. There was also a 6-year-old girl with them.
WKYC confirmed they were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where the hospital says they are all in fair condition.
Amanda was last seen at approximately 7:45 p.m. on April 21, 2003, near West 110th Street and Lorain Avenue wearing a Burger King uniform and a black apron with "Burger King" written on it in yellow letters.
