CLEVELAND -- The families of Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus never gave up hope that their daughters would come home.
In the years since Gina disappeared, her mother Nancy Ruiz never wavered: one day she would be reunited with her daughter.
In 2007, Ruiz told Channel 3, "In my heart I know she's out there. And she's somewhere close. I can feel her near me. She could be next door to someone. All they have to do is call it in."
In 2008, Ruiz said she had dreams, and truly believed one day would walk through the family's front door again.
Monday night, Nancy's wish to see her daughter again came true. It will likely be a while before Gina returns to her family home, but Ruiz was right, and it will happen again.
Sadly, Louwanna Miller, Amanda Berry's mother, did not live to see this happy day. Miller died in 2006, 3 years after her daughter's disappearance.
