SANDUSKY TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A 33-year-old Fremont man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a semi truck on the turnpike late Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened at about 5:30 p.m. near the Fremont toll gate on the Ohio Turnpike in Sandusky Township.
Douglas Rhoades, 33, of Fremont, was driving east on the turnpike at gate 91 when he drove his motorcycle over a concrete divider and onto the westbound entrance ramp.
He then struck the trailer of a semi truck and died in the crash, highway patrol said.
The truck driver, Roger Tooley, 56, of Kent, was not injured.
The Milan Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating.
