CLEVELAND -- One of the police commanders who helped lead the search for Amanda Berry and Gina Dejesus says he is stunned by the discovery of the young women.

Cleveland Police Commander Gary Gingell says he nearly dropped the phone when he got the call that they were found on Monday.

This case was always so up and down with unsuccessful leads over the past decade that he couldn't believe it was true.

The commander says even though police deal with nearly 3,000 missing persons cases a year, this one always stood out to him.
