COLUMBUS -- The Ohio Attorney General's Office will begin testing 76 items taken from the home of Ariel Castro following the discovery of three women who had been reported missing.

The 76 items will be subjected to DNA, firearms and latent fingerprint analysis, said Attorney General's Office spokeswoman Jill Del Greco.

She did not specify what items would be tested.

FBI technicians seized hundreds of pieces of evidence from Castro's home on Seymour Avenue in Cleveland following the discovery of Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus.

DNA testing by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation typically takes between 20 and 25 days, Del Greco said.

BCI has already submitted Castro's DNA for testing. Those tests confirmed that Castro is the father of Berry's 6-year-old daughter, who was discovered after her mother ran from Castro's home on May 6.
