CLEVELAND -- Students at Citizens Leadership Academy had no idea the impact they would have on Connie Finley when they interviewed her for a book on local veterans.

Finley, who served in the Navy, told the three, 7th grade students about her experience in the military. She told them that she was raped by a superior officer shortly after she enlisted.

"I thank God for those children, they let me tell them my story," says Finley.

She decided to tell her story to help other veterans and to warn young people to be aware of those who would harm them whether in the military or not.

The book, "Veterans Voices: Untold Stories of Cleveland's Military Members," will be entered into the Library of Congress.
