CLEVELAND -- With westside commuters working their way through a two-week Shoreway shutdown for Captain America 2 filming, the merchants of Gordon Square are offering free treats to make the ride more enjoyable.

The shutdown means more commuters going through the neighborhood on Detroit Avenue.

On June 6 and and June 7, free food will be offered at special drive up locations at West 64th and Detroit Avenue.

The Gordon Square merchants are calling it a "Hero's Welcome" for commuters.

Morning commuters will be offered a FREE coffee and mini muffin from 7am - 9am on Thursday, June 6th and Friday, June 7th from Gypsy Beans & Baking Company.

On the ride home, Sweet Moses Treats will offer a FREE scoop of handmade ice cream from 4:30pm - 6:30pm.

"Gordon Square Arts District is a true Cleveland gem," said Cleveland City Councilman Matt Zone, "Our hope is that new commuters will have the opportunity to enjoy the area as a destination; with some of the best entertainment and restaurants in town!"
