Solon man has had his driver's license taken away forever

CLEVELAND -- A Solon man has lost his driver's license for the rest of his life.

Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Jose Villanueva sentenced Dean Klembus, 49, of Solon, to two years in jail for his eighth drunk driving charge.

He has seven prior convictions for OVI, including five within the past 20 years.

Police say that just over a year ago -- on May 6, 2012 -- Klembus was driving on Aurora Road when police saw him weaving in and out of his lane.

The officer made a traffic stop and, after detecting the odor of alcohol emitting from the vehicle, Klembus was asked to exit a nd perform a field sobriety test.

After failing the sobriety tests, Klembus was placed under arrest for OVI.
