Lake County is one of the hardest hit counties.  The cities of Mentor and Willoughby reported the most widespread damage including downed tree limbs and power lines. Most of the outages were concentrated between those two cities.

FirstEnergy crews are investigating each incident as it is reported.

AEP, which services the southern portion of the viewing area including Stark County is reporting about 7,000 outages in its Northeast Ohio service area.  Additional outages are being reported in its central Ohio service area, including more than 10,000 in Franklin County.
