Cleveland | Man found shot at gas station later dies

CLEVELAND -- Police are searching for information surrounding the death of a 20-year-old man who was found shot at a gas station.

The first call came in around 2:30 a.m Sunday.

Police say the victim was seen sitting in a black Dodge Durango at a Marathon Gas Station at East 40th Street and St. Clair Avenue. When someone went to check on him, he was unresponsive and blood was found on the door.

When officers arrived, they found the victim suffered a gunshot wound to his leg. EMS was called and transported him to MetroHealth Medical Center where he later died.

There are no known suspects at this time. The Division of Police Homicide Unit continues to investigate the incident.
