CLEVELAND -- A man was shot Sunday evening near East 157th and Holmes Avenue.
According to the Cleveland Police Department, around 6:30 p.m., the radio dispatch received a call for a man shot at E. 157th Street & Holmes Avenue.
Once on the scene, officers located a 50-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest.
The victim was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center by EMS, where he is being treated for his injuries.
The preliminary investigation reveals that the victim was shot by a black man wearing red pants and white shoes.
After shooting the victim, the suspect ran off.
Fifth District Officers are currently touring the area for the suspect.
