PERRY -- The Perry Nuclear Power Plant has come back online after being shutdown due to a contained radioactive steam leak.
The plant was synchronized to the power grid at 6:29 p.m., ending the 4-day outage that began Monday.

FirstEnergy, which owns the Perry Plant, says no one was ever in danger and that the radioactive steam was contained the entire time.
They say fixing the leak is a proactive measure, helping to prevent further issues in the future.
Perry Power Plant supplies nearly a third of the electricity produced by FirstEnergy.
