CLEVELAND -- Cleveland's Convention and Visitors Bureau is launching a new effort to improve the city's image and make it easier for people to navigate its streets to find its attractions.

Officials say the aim of the Seamless Cleveland campaign is to improve the perception of the city and attract more tourism.

David Gilbert, the president of Positively Cleveland, the area's tourism bureau, tells The Plain Dealer that the project wants to maximize recent big investments such as the city's new casino and convention center.

He says visitors need to know where the attractions are and how to get there.

Last month, the bureau announced a program to train cab drivers, bartenders, concierges, waiters and others who interact with travelers to become better ambassadors for the city.
