According to Ohio's Department of Health many teens say they have ridden in a car that was being operated by someone who had been drinking alcohol.
The teens were asked if they had ridden in a car with a potentially impaired driver within the past 30 days.
The survey was completed by High School students in Ohio.
A total of 21% of those surveyed indicated that they had ridden with an impaired driver.
The numbers jumped from 19.4% of 11th graders to 28.2% of high school seniors.
The highest percentage of those who answered yes were among the Hispanic/Latino teens.
37.3% said they had been in a vehicle operated by someone who had been drinking alcohol.
