CLEVELAND -- The Horseshoe Casino is launching its "major summer promotion" with a special celebration in Public Square featuring live music, food and a slew of celebrities.
The all-day public "Summer in the Square" festival will be held Friday, July 5 from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. to announce the Horseshoe Casino's "largest promotion to date" that will "change the lives of a few lucky Clevelanders."
In addition to live music throughout the day, multiple celebrities will make an appearance and compete in a Wiffle ball game (see a full breakdown of scheduled events below).
Food from the casino's partner restaurants Morton's Steakhouse, Otani Japanese Restaurant, Pickwick & Frolic, Rosie & Rocco's, Saigon, Siam Café and XO Prime Steaks will be available for purchase at the event.
Celebrities slated to attend:
- Mario Lopez of "Saved by the Bell" fame.
- Former Cavs players Larry Nance, Austin Carr, Jim Chones and Campy Russell.
- Former Indians stars Carlos Baerga, Len Barger and Mike Hargrove.
- Former Cleveland Browns stars Hanford Dixon, Reggie Langhorne, Kevin Mack, Cleo Miller and Mike Pruitt.
- The festival is only open for those 21 and older.
Breakdown of the festival's events:
11 a.m. Festival begins on Public Square in front of Horseshoe Cleveland.
11 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Total Rewards members may swipe their membership card at a Total Rewards kiosk inside the casino for a chance to participate in the celebrity Wiffle ball game.
3:30 p.m. Horseshoe will draw winners to play in the celebrity Wiffle ball game.
5:15 p.m. Horseshoe Casino makes "major summer promotion" announcement.
5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Celebrity Wiffle ball game with crowd giveaways including T-shirts.
10 p.m. Festival concludes.
