MEDINA -Parts of I-71 south are open following a tractor-trailer fire.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol a tractor-trailer fire caused all southbound lanes of I-71 to shutdown just past Route 18.
Troopers say the left lane is now open, allowing people to get buy, however traffic is still backed up.
According to officials the driver of the truck was able to escape without injuries.
The tractor-trailer was being used to carry a load of cars and some of those cars were damaged in the incident.
What caused the fire remains under investigation, but it is believed to have started with back tires on the trailer.
