EAST CLEVELAND -- Formal charges have been filed against Michael Madison -- the man accused of killing three women.
Madison, 35, appeared in court around 11:50 a.m. Monday when a judge announced three aggravated murder charges and three kidnapping charges against him.
The judge declared these charges carry the possible punishment of death or life imprisonment.

Madison chose to waive a preliminary hearing and bond was set at $6 million total -- $1 million per count.
His case has been transferred to Cuyahoga County.
The charges come after three bodies were found between Friday and Saturday in the same East Cleveland neighborhood. Each body, which the medical examiner says are badly decomposed, was wrapped in plastic.
Shortly before Madison's first court appearance, East Cleveland officials held a press conference where they identified victim #2 as Angela Deskins, 38, of Cleveland.
Earlier Monday, police exclusively told WKYC that Madison had confessed to one of the killings.
