EAST CLEVELAND -- Mikki Taylor smelled a foul odor one week ago and even confronted the suspect Michael Madison about it.
"I called him and said 'we need to open your garage there is something that smells in there,' and he paused, and said 'I'm not in my apartment right now,'" recalls Taylor.
She gave it a few days longer and then called the police.
"I thought it was a dead rat, I never thought they would find a body," Taylor said.
Taylor's daughters lived in the same apartment building as Madison and Taylor also worked in the building.
She remembers seeing Madison with women in the building and says he was a "ladies man."
"That was someone's daughter, and I can't believe they were thrown away like trash," says Taylor.
