CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Police Department responded to accusations that they did not help Texas Ranger's pitcher Tanner Scheppers.
Sergeant Sammy Morris tells Channel 3 that Scheppers was involved in a fight at Panini's Bar located on West 6th street and not Public Square as first reported.
The call for the fight came in from a Downtown Cleveland Alliance worker at 2:30 a.m.
Once officers got arrived, Scheppers would not give them any information about the fight.
Morris goes on to say that Scheppers refused to make a police report and that he refused any medical attention from paramedics.
Police then gave Scheppers and another man a ride to the Rangers team hotel.
