CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Indians blanked the Texas Rangers offense for the second consecutive night and have now registered a Major League best 14 shutouts thus far on the season.

This afternoon's game marked the first back-to-back shutouts for the club since May 13-14, 2008 vs. Oakland.

Eleven of the club's 14 shutouts have come at Progressive Field which is the most for the Indians here in Cleveland since 1968 when the club registered 11 shutouts through the entire campaign.

The Indians have now reeled off 4 straight victories and are just a single win shy of their high-water mark this season (+9G, 26-17 on May 20).

Today's sweep of the Rangers marks the clubs 7th series sweep of 2013 as the Indians have now swept 3 four-game sets, two 3-gamers, and a pair of 2-game sets.

The Tribe has won a season-high 7 straight games at Progressive Field which stands as the longest home winning streak since posting 14 consecutive wins April 3-May 10, 2011.

The Indians have gone 31-13 (.705) at Progressive Field since April 30, the 2nd-best home record in baseball during that span.

The Tribe is now just 4 wins shy of matching its 2012 home win total (37-44).
