Cleveland police look for 3 suspects in gas station shooting

CLEVELAND --  Cleveland Police have released three surveillance images of men they are seeking in connection with a deadly gas station shooting early this morning.

Two people were shot during the attempted armed robbery at Biggie's Food Mart on East 55th near Cedar around 4 a.m.

When they arrived, police found two victims down with gunshot wounds. One victim had been shot in the back, the other was shot in the arm and torso.

Both were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where one of the victims, a 48-year-old man, died. The medical examiner has identified the victim as Mohammed T. Ismail of Cleveland. The second victim, a 28-year-old man survived.

After shooting both victims, the three suspects fled the scene in an undetermined direction.

Responding officers canvassed the area, but found no suspects.
The incident remains under investigation.
