AVON -- It's a weekend of baseball and raising money for a cure in Avon.

Baseball players and their fans became a sea of pink at Friday night's Lake Erie Crushers game.

From pink lemonade, to a pink ribbon on the mound, it's a weekend of awareness and raising money for Susan G. Komen of Northeast Ohio.

On Saturday, players themselves will take part in a car wash at All Pro Freight Stadium from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"It was all their idea," Crushers Manager Jeff Isom said. "The guys wanted to give back in their own way, and they decided on the classic idea of a car wash."

Fans can meet their favorite player and get clean cars all while helping to find a cure for breast cancer.
