ASHLAND -- All lanes on I-71 have been reopened in Ashland County after a crash.
A crash involving a semi in a construction zone closed the highway for about eight hours.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the northbound semi hit a pickup truck facing southbound in a construction zone near mile marker 187 in Montgomery Township. The truck, hauling plastic pellets, went off the left side of the highway, striking the median cable. The semi then burst into flames.
Only minor injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
