Hungry customers and eager chefs are using Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to interact with one another -- all in the name of a perfect lunch.
Walnut Wednesdays combine food from 10 or more of the most popular local food trucks with live music and fun -- and plenty of social media.
It's held each Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Walnut Avenue and East 12th Street. The food trucks surround Perk Plaza.
Since the food truck craze began, diners have relied on social media to track their favorite trucks around town.
Many say if they had to go to each truck's individual website to find their location, they wouldn't bother.
Thanks to social media, the info comes straight to their own social media stream.
And grateful diners pay the love forward by posting photos of their meals for all their friends to see -- advertising money can't buy.
If this story whet your appetite, you don't have to wait for the next Walnut Wednesday to dig in. Food trucks also plan to gather Friday at the free stamp.
