Another trucking company has filed suit against Pilot Flying J, in the continued fallout against the Knoxville-based company embroiled in a federal investigation over fuel rebates.
The company is accused of shortchanging some of their commercial customers of the promised rebates for fuel purchases.
On Wednesday, NKC Transportation, which is based in Missouri, filed suit in Knox County Circuit Court, saying Pilot's actions damaged their company.
They are asking for actual and punitive damages, though they don't name a specific amount, and a jury trial. The suit says they are aware of a proposed class action settlement, and they do not want to join that suit.
