HUDSON -- Police arrested Dr. James Bressi at his home in Hudson Friday without incident. He was taken to the Summit County Jail.
Bressi was taken into custody following a year-and-a-half-long investigation by Stow police and three reports by Channel 3 News Investigator Tom Meyer.
Bressi faces a 23-count indictment that includes charges of rape and gross sexual imposition.
Investigator: Hudson doctor indicted for rape, gross sexual imposition
Investigator: Patients tell of sex abuse inside pain clinic
Female patients complained of being victimized during treatment for pain
Stow police say the indictment is based on evidence presented to them from 10 female victims. But they also say 40 additional victims have come forward, so their investigation is ongoing.
If you have any information pertinent to this investigation, please contact Detective Jeff Swanson at (330) 689-5734.
Bressi told Meyer he's innocent and has declined further comment.
He's expected to plead not guilty in court next week.
The Ohio Medical Board recently suspended his medical license, and it could decide next month to revoke it. Bressi has a right to a hearing.
