CLEVELAND -- Two people were killed on Cleveland's east side.
Just after 11 p.m. on Friday night Bruce Jernigan, 34, was shot and killed. The shooting happened in front of a residence on the 600 block of E. 109th Street.
Police say a man was driving in the area when he was approached by three men. One of the men was Jernigan. Jernigan was standing in front of the mans car when he pulled out a gun.
The driver, a 53-year-old man exited the car and began shooting at Jernigan. The other suspects fired back.
Jernigan was shot in the head and died on scene. The two men he was with fled on foot.
The driver did hold a CCW permit.
The Cuyahoga Medical Examiner's Office released the name on a second homicide victim. Ronnie L. Bryant, 22, was reported a homicide by MetroHealth Medical Center Saturday morning.
Police say he was shot at 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning on E. 49th and Hamilton avenue. Police found Bryant in the street. He was involved in an argument inside of a bar. That's when security escorted the parties out of the bar. Not long after Bryant was shot.
Police are also investigating a man who was stabbed in the neck and another shooting from overnight.
