CLEVELAND -- Ariel Castro is dead. While imposed a self-made prison on three women for a decade, he lived only four months behind bars.
The Franklin County Coroner confirms the man who admittedly kidnapped Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight and held them captive inside his Seymour Avenue home for years committed suicide Tuesday.
His death comes just a few weeks after he pleaded guilty to more than 900 charges against him in a plea deal that spared him execution.
