CLEVELAND -- Police had a busy morning on Cleveland's east side after one person was shot and another stabbed.
Police say the night started off at 10312 Yale Avenue after a man was shot in the leg.
Umar Clark was sitting in his van just after 2 a.m. when he was approached by Daryle Harris. An argument occurred and Clark was shot in the knee by Harris.
Clark was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where he is being treated. Harris was last seen fleeing from the area.
Police were then called to 1134 E. 174th Street for a domestic dispute that turned violent.
Jahnobia Johnson said she was being abused by her child's father Irving James. She told police that the James punched and choked her.
When Johnson got free, police say she grabbed a knife and stabbed James twice in the shoulder blade.
The man was arrested at MetroHealth Medical Center and is being held in jail. The Domestic Violence Unit will investigate the crime.
