Wayne County: OHP investigates 2 fatal crashes

WAYNE COUNTY -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating two, separate fatal crashes in Wayne County.

In one incident, a 29-year-old motorcycle rider from Wooster died after going left of center and losing control of his bike on US 250. According to troopers, the rider ejected from the motorcycle in the crash and hit a traffic sign.

The rider died at the scene.

In the second incident, a 45-year-old Rittman died in a two-car crash on State Route 94 in Paint Township.

According to troopers, the driver was headed southbound of SR 94 when he went off the right side of the road, re-entered the roadway and went left of center striking an oncoming car. The driver of the other car went off the road as a result of the collision and hit a ditch. That driver was taken to the hospital.

Both were wearing seat belts.
