Lorain County | Two dead, one injured in rollover crash

EATON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Two Lorain County men were killed and one was injured when their pickup truck crashed and flipped over in Eaton Township Sunday evening.

The crash was reported around 4:49 p.m. on Cowley Road.

A Ford F-150 driven by Nicholas Russell, 23, of North Ridgeville, was heading north on Cowley Road, when he went off the left side of the road, hit a utility pole and rolled over several times.

Russell and his two passengers, Jeffery Bouman, 24, of Columbia Station, and Jordan Smith, 23, of Grafton, were thrown from the truck.

Russell died in the crash.

Bouman was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center, but also died from his injuries.

Smith survived the crash, refusing medical treatment from medics at the scene of the crash. Smith later went to Elyria Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

It is not clear if the three were wearing seatbelts. The front airbags did go off.

It is not clear if drugs and/or alcohol were a factor.

Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating.
