For many Clevelanders Wednesday marked a Christmas Eve of sorts as they anxiously anticipated the release of Great Lakes Brewing Company's seasonal Christmas Ale.
The special brew comprised of cinnamon, honey, and ginger will go on tap Thursday exclusively at the Great Lakes Brewing Company's Brewpub, and will then be distributed in stores the first week of November.
"It's going to be a really good batch this year as always," explained Marissa DeSantis, a communications assistant with Great Lakes Brewing Company (GLBC).
"People love our Christmas ale, it's so great to see how people have made this a part of their tradition." "It's liquid happiness," described Bob Franz, who anticipates the release of the seasonal ale each year. "It's the best thing that's ever been made by man...it's better than cars better than trains."
GLBC's Christmas ale is distributed in 13 states and Washington D.C.
