The Ohio State Highway Patrol has begun investigating two fatal accidents that happened Saturday.

The first accident happened just before 10 p.m. on State Route 43, between Lake O Pines Street NE and State Street NE in Hartville.

Troopers say 24-year-old Mark S. Conti was driving south on SR 43 when he went left of center and hit another car.

The force of the impact caused 24-year-old Anna R Miller's car to flip off the road.

Conti was pronounced dead at the scene by the Stark County Coroner's Office.

Miller sustained incapacitating injuries. She was taken to Mercy Hospital and later flown by Med Flight to Akron City Hospital.

The second accident happened on State Route 83, north of the Village of Millersburg.

Three cars collided after 68-year-old Elain K. Nelson went left of center just after midnight Saturday.

Troopers say three people including Nelson suffered serious injuries and was transported to nearby hospitals.

In that accident, 25-year-old Delmer Lainez, of Millersburg, died at the scene.

Both accidents remain under investigation.
