CLEVELAND -- It has been a year since Superstorm Sandy slammed the coastline, killing 180 people and causing more than 62 billion dollars of damage.

The storm was felt across 12 states.

In northeast Ohio, thousands lost power, homes were damaged and boats and docks were destroyed.

Winds were clocked close to 70 mph and waves were recorded at 18 feet on Lake Erie.

Now a year later, fishermen and boaters look back at how far they've come.

They say things are mostly back to normal.
