Two months after surviving a car accident on I-480, a mother of two from Parma says she wants one thing -- to get back to a normal life at home.
In June, Tammie Stanton was on the road with her daughter, 11-year old Krista, when a small car collided with her SUV.
Tammie was rushed to MetroHealth Medical Center in critical condition.
Two months later, Tammie continues to recover. In the accident, she lost an arm.
“My biggest challenge is well, I'm going to have to learn how to use a new arm,” she said. “That's going to be a big challenge but I'm not going to let it stop me, I'm going to do it.
Her daughter walked away from the accident with only a scratch.
Meanwhile, Tammie faces at least two more months in the hospital.
The benefit for Tammie Stanton will be held at Smedley's Bar and Grill at 17004 Lorain Ave. at 1 p.m. October 1st.
