  • 400 to 500 people huddled in a basement at a St. Mary’s Church Saturday afternoon in Painesville. Earlier, there was a rally on the steps of Painesville City Hall to bring attention to a week-long series of arrests by Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agents. A Painesville police sergeant told Channel 3, according to the feds, 22 people were arrested in the Painesville area this week. Members of the Painsville hispanic community are now back in their homes, but still lack a sense of security. Acting on a tip, community leaders told residents to go home, lock their doors, don't answer if someone knocks and stay off the street.
