NEWARK, Ohio -- A missing 4-year-old boy was found dead Sunday in a central Ohio river, authorities said.
Colton Angus wandered away from a relative's house along the Licking River in Newtown Township on Sunday evening, the Licking County Sheriff's Office said.
Search and rescue crews scoured the area for the missing boy. The Ohio State Highway Patrol provided air support.
Divers found the boy's body nearly two hours later in the river. He was found about 55 feet offshore in about 9 feet of water. Deputies say attempts to revive him failed.
