Cleveland leaders to "Rock The Catwalk" on Thursday

CLEVELAND - It’s Cleveland’s style to put its children first, and that’s the purpose of United Way’s Rock the Catwalk Fashion show on Thursday, Nov. 3.

Billed as “a celebration of fashion and compassion,” the annual event raises funds for the Women’s Leadership Council’s work to advance early childhood education.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Global Center for Health Innovation, 1 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland.

As always, a parade of prominent Clevelanders will strut their stuff on the runway to raise awareness of the needs of the region’s “most important citizens” of all -- children ages 0 to 5.

Models include Mark Ross, market managing partner of PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP; Elizabeth Newman, chief executive officer of The Centers; Sean Watterson, president and co-owner of The Happy Dog; and Michele Connell, partner at Squire Patton Boggs LLP.

WKYC is a sponsor of the event, and lead anchor and managing editor Russ Mitchell will emcee the evening of style. Margaret Bernstein, WKYC director of advocacy & community initiatives, will join the models on the catwalk.

The fashion show features men’s and women’s trends from Lisa Moran Ltd., J3Clothing Co., Fringe Boutique, Cleveland Consignment Shoppe and Amy’s Shoes.

Co-chairs of the annual fashion show are Kristen Baird Adams of PNC and Sue Tyler of Medical Mutual.

Tickets start at $200. For more information, click here.
