Deer with pumpkin on head rescued

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Free at last.

Just days ago, we told you about a deer in South Euclid with a Halloween pumpkin stuck to its face

As of Sunday evening, the deer has been rescued. See video from the rescue attempt above.

It all came down to three Lyndhurt police officers.

According to the City of Lyndhurst, three police officers were able to corner the deer near Shaefer Park and remove the pumpkin.

During our reporting, viewers told WKYC that the deer had been in this predicament for up to nine days.

Worried about the safety of the deer, roughly 20 people helped in efforts to rescue the deer themselves.
