4-year-old among three injured in Cleveland barbershop shootout

Shootout injures child, 2 others in Cleveland - Tiffany Tarpley

CLEVELAND - A shootout on Cleveland's west side has injured three people, including a 4-year-old boy.

Cleveland Police are at the scene at a barbershop at West 59th Street and Storer Avenue. Officers say three teenagers attempted an armed robbery of the shop when employees exchanged gunfire in self defense.

During the course of the gunfire, the 4-year-old was shot in the foot and was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center. He is in stable condition.  

A 26-year-old man was shot in the back during the same exchange and was also taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. He is in stable condition.  

One of the suspects, a 16-year-old male, was shot and taken to MetroHealth via private automobile. His condition is unknown.
