Arrest made in Beachwood Place armed robbery

BEACHWOOD -- Police tell Channel 3 that an arrest has been made in the Dec. 23 armed robbery at Beachwood Place.

Police said that, thanks to the media's assistance in broadcasting an image of the suspect using the victim's stolen card at an ATM, they received several tips and were able to identify the suspect as Robert J. Martin Jr, 22, of Euclid.

Martin was arrested Jan. 9 at a hotel in Willoughby.

Martin has been charged with aggravated robbery, a first degree felony, and his bond has been set at $750,000.

Martin is scheduled for arraignment at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 14 in Shaker Heights Municipal Court.
