Cleveland police search for braided suspect in gold Jeep

CLEVELAND -- Police are investigating a shooting that occurred about 11:30 a.m. today in the 3700 block of E. 142nd Street.

Police were called to respond to the 3700 block of E. 142nd Street in connection with a man shot. Upon arrival, officers located a man, 42, who had been shot.

He told police he was shot by a man there who was black, with braided hair who was driving a gold Jeep.

The victim was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center by EMS for a gunshot wound to his lower body. Officers toured the area for the described vehicle but have not located it.

At this time, police say the motive for the shooting and additional information is being investigated.
