Cleveland: Teen shot outside rec center

CLEVELAND -- Cleveland Police are investigating the shooting of a 16-year-old girl in the parking lot of the Zelma George Recreation Center.

The shooting happened late Saturday night around 11:40 p.m.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center.

Preliminary investigation reveals that a large fight broke out in the center's parking lot just before the shooting.

Three males were arrested after fleeing the scene.

There is no word on the victim's condition.

The Zelma George Recreation Center is located on the city's eastside, near Martin Luther King Drive.
