New information has been released by the FBI, giving a little insight into what officers dealt with searching for Steve Stephens.
The FBI says investigators pinpointed two possible cell phones Stephens may have been using. They got call data from the phone company, which indicated a call from one of those phones hit a cell tower in Erie.
Officers did not find anything there, until the tip came in Tuesday when Stephens was located and later took his own life.
According to the Associated Press, Pennsylvania police say the cell phone Stephens used to record video of the shooting death of Robert Godwin that was posted on Facebook, was not found in his car.
